Wow. Thanksgiving is just a wonderful holiday. We decided to spend the holiday at home and had a great time eating, relaxing, watching football, and parades. As is the Thanksgiving tradition we made way too much food. Macaroni and cheese, roasted vegetables, twice baked potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pie and a pot roast (no sense making a turkey for one).
To recover from our delicious over indulgence, we put together a pretty good little routine we could do here at home. Three rounds of 50 squats, 50 sit-ups, and 50 push-ups. The difficulty level increases dramatically when dogs want to participate. Dylan came very close to tackling Adrienne early on in the squats and my first sit-up got me a face full of slobber from Hudson. Then Sunday we went for a trail run that involved some pretty steep parts. I’m not ashamed to say that I spent some time walking.
This week I have put together what I think is a pretty killer workout/menu combo. Today’s workout was 10 rounds for time of 10 burpees, 10 sit-ups, 10 push-ups. Tonight for dinner to break up the Thanksgiving leftover routine we made sushi. For filling we used spicy sweet potatoes, daikon radishes, and chives.
