This past weekend Adrienne and I made the drive to Seattle to visit with some friends. We had a great time visiting and really enjoyed the city. We’re glad we made it at all. The ride over the passes started easily enough but soon turned into a white-knuckled blizzard run! We made it and had an awesome time seeing as much of Seattle in three days as possible. What we didn’t do was workout.

Even through we didn’t do any workouts, there was some exercise. We spent a lot of time walking, some time dancing, and took a great walk through Seward Park. Even when my family went on vacation growing up, they were rarely sedentary. We always had a hike or some other activity planned.

This morning we put together a pretty great workout to jumpstart this week.
50 jump squats

10 “hollow rocks”
40 jumping squats
20 push-ups
30 jumping squats
30 sit-ups
20 jumping squats
40 push-ups
10 jumping squats
It was a fun, super active workout! Dinner tonight was an African yam and peanut stew with kale. It was awesome for a snowy night.
