Ok ok, it’s a little after lunchtime for us East Coasters. Feel free to take sometime out of your afternoon schedule to catch up on some reading.

It’s crazy that for all our exploration in space and the depths of the ocean, we are still relatively clueless about the human body. Surgeons in Belgium recently discovered a previously unidentified ligament in the knee.

Thought to be a modern marvel and at one point a health food, trans fats may be on the way out of the human diet. Here’s a history of where they come from, what they are, and our relationship with them.

The benefits of exercise are widely reported and extensively studied. A new study from The University of Texas at Dallas has linked aerobic “hows the tremendous benefit of aerobic exercise on a person’s memory and demonstrates that aerobic exercise can reduce both the biological and cognitive consequences of aging.”

I sometimes have a tendency to be disorganized. I have found that setting goals and trying new things helps a lot. The Ascent Blog is perusing some new activities to regain focus.
